Cardboard Packaging Laboratory

This laboratory was established as a result of KASAD meeting to provide cardboard packaging manufacturers qualified personnel.  All equipment available for making a die cutting plates are in this laboratory. This laboratory has a 50×70 cm Heidelberg Cylinder Die Cutter (converted from an old letterpress printing machine) and a windmill letterpress printing machine. The windmill letterpress-printing machine has a gilt foil unit. EngView Package Designer software is used on all of the computers in the laboratory. The 4th Grade students make cardboard packaging design with this program in Computer-aided Design class. According to the agreement made with the EngView company, a student who has exam results that average 75 or over in two semesters can take a user certificate examination. Every year 10 students qualify to take this user certificate. The EngView Package Designer software menus were translated to Turkish by our Printing Technology Department.
