The Printing Technologies Department was established in 2013 and received its first students in the 2014-2015 Academic Year. The Printing Technologies department, which was first established within the School of Applied Sciences, became a part of the Faculty of Applied Sciences as a result of the School's transformation into a Faculty in 2022.
The Department of Printing Technology has an academic and physical infrastructure consisting of over 40-year long history of Technical Education Faculty, Printing Education Department. Technical Education Faculty, Printing Education Department was closed in 2009 by YÖK decision and its all infrastructure transferred to The Department of Printing Technologies Department which include all faculty members, laboratory facilities, alumni associations.
The Department of Printing Technology is very good in contact with printing industry. Sectoral civil society organizations have made a great effort in the university and YÖK to establish the Printing Technology Department instead of Printing Education Department. The Department of Printing Technologies was established as a result of these efforts.
When the Laboratories section of the department website is examined, it is seen that many modern laboratories are established by the sector companies. This is a clear indication of the industry's division for our department.
There are 7 professors, 5 associate professors, 3 assistant professors in the highly qualified academic staff of the Department of Printing Technology.
